Yatin Wadhwana, Director of Gradient Commercial Pvt. Ltd., graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) with a Management Sciences degree. He has been in the sugar business as a miller and a trader for more than 33 years during which time he has been associated with several entities in various capacities. A member of the Committee of the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA) for several years, Mr Wadhwana served on the Board of Indian Sugar Exim Corporation as a representative of ISMA. He has vast and rich experience of the Indian sugar sector having experienced the famous “Indian Sugar Cycle” several times. Apart from sugar he has also been involved in Supply Chain Management, Logistics and the trade of other agri-commodities including wheat, rice and soybean. After his last stint with Sucden, a French Sugar Trade House, Mr Wadhwana started his own family owned venture, Gradient Commercial Pvt. Ltd. which undertakes strategic trades, consultancy and advisory roles

Mr Wadhwana did his schooling in India at Raj Kumar College, Rajkot and the Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi and in England at Cranleigh School, Cranleigh. After completing his graduation at UMIST, Mr Wadhwana joined the family business which was involved in running a Sugar Mill, Solvent Extraction Plant, Trade representation and Shipborking. After an initial period of training, he was involved in the commercial operations of the Solvent Extraction Plant which involved the procurement of Soyabean Seed from the various Marketing yards and sales of Edible Oils and Soya Extraction. After a year in the Soya business, he moved to the Trade representation and shipbroking side of the business where he assisted in increasing the portfolio from Sugar to Molasses and Petroleum Products. With the liberalisation of the Indian Economy in 1991, Mr Wadhwana headed the expansion of the family business in trading of Sugar, Edible Oils, Soyabean Meal and Rice.

Mr Wadhwana is married with 2 school going children and is settled in New Delhi. He is an avid Golfer, has a passion for History and enjoys travelling to the lesser known parts of his country. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Delhi Mid Town, New Delhi and undertakes philanthropic activities through various organisations
